The purity of the steel of fine grade austenitic quality and the
addition of special alloys, provide this steel ,
excellent mechanical characteristics, even at high temperatures and
self-passivating properties when exposed to
corrosive agents present in urban atmosphere. This property allows
this steel to face down corrosion for longer
periods when compared to common steel, even if not painted.

APPLICATIONS - The mechanical characteristics and the resistance to
atmospheric corrosion make this steel, the best
product for the fabrication of agricultural vans and railway
wagons, structures of bridges, water pipes, fans, chimneys
and boilers.
HOT FORMING - This operation may be normally carried out in a
temperature range of 800 °C to 1050 °C. If it is
required to use a different temperature, it is advisable to carry
out a normalizing treatment at the end.
